Speaking on the Tea With Tay podcast, Isime reflected on her upbringing, noting that she was born into a comfortable and privileged home due to her father’s financial stability at the time.
However, she explained that the family’s fortunes later changed, leading to a significant shift in their lifestyle and circumstances.
According to her, rather than allowing the setback to limit her aspirations, the experience strengthened her resolve to build a successful life on her own terms.
She said she had always envisioned a future where she would work hard, achieve financial independence, and create the life she desired.
“I was born with a silver spoon, and I lost it. My dad was pretty wealthy at some point, but then things changed,” she said during the interview.
Despite the change in circumstances, Isime stressed that her outlook on life remained positive, adding that she was determined not to lower her standards or expectations.
“I’ve always known I wanted to work. I know I’m destined to live a good life, to have wealth, to look like success, so I decided to work for it,” she added.
The actress noted that the experience reinforced her belief in hard work, discipline, and personal responsibility, which she credited as key factors in her rise within the entertainment industry.
