Arsenal have intensified efforts to secure the services of Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali ahead of the new season.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that manager Mikel Arteta views the Italian as an important addition to strengthen the squad, with the Gunners expected to face another demanding campaign across multiple competitions.
Tonali’s future at Newcastle has also attracted attention, with the club set to miss out on European football next season, potentially opening the door to a summer exit.
Manchester United are also monitoring the midfielder, setting up a possible transfer battle between the two Premier League rivals.
Elsewhere, Fulham defender Antonee Robinson has emerged as a target for Manchester United. According to The Sun, United are looking to reinforce the left-back position, where Luke Shaw is currently the club’s only senior option following Tyrell Malacia’s departure.
The report added that while Lewis Hall remains under consideration, Robinson is viewed as a more affordable alternative.
