Veteran Nigerian actor Abdul Salam Taofeek has opened up about what he described as the most painful experience of his life, recounting a troubled marriage marked by allegations of infidelity, paternity disputes, and legal confrontation.
Speaking during an interview on the African A-List Podcast, the actor responded to a question about whether he still harboured resentment toward anyone who had hurt him deeply.
He recounted that the most distressing episode in his life involved his late wife, whom he said is now deceased and should be forgiven. According to him, the incident unfolded when he returned from a work location and could not reach her, despite her being heavily pregnant at the time.
He alleged that after several days of being unable to contact her, he later discovered she had been involved with another man. He further claimed that the situation escalated into family disputes and accusations surrounding the paternity of their children.
Mondusi also alleged that the matter eventually led to legal proceedings involving the dissolution of their marriage, during which claims about the paternity of some of the children were reportedly made in court.
He further recounted tensions around the naming ceremony of a child and said disagreements between both parties intensified, eventually involving law enforcement and the courts.
The actor claimed that his former wife later passed away years after the separation, attributing her death to emotional distress, while also alleging that the man she reportedly became involved with did not support her later in life.
His remarks have since generated reactions online, with many reflecting on the emotional weight of broken relationships and the complexities of family disputes played out in public view.
The interview adds to a growing list of candid celebrity revelations shared on podcast platforms, where public figures increasingly revisit personal experiences away from the screen.
