Adenike Ayeni, head coach of Sunshine Stars FC U-19, has expressed ambition to win the 2025–26 President Federation Cup.
The Akure-based side recently progressed past Nigeria Premier Football League outfit Niger Tornadoes FC in the Round of 64.
Ayeni stressed that the team will not become overconfident following the upset victory and will maintain full concentration on their campaign objectives.
“We are not going to be complacent. We will approach every game as it comes and remain focused on both the Federation Cup,” Ayeni told Karenkossnews.
“My target is to lift the trophy, I have done as a player of Sunshine Queens captain and I wish to to do it again as the U-19 head coach.”
Sunshine Stars U-19 are expected to discover their next opponent after the remaining Round of 64 fixtures are completed.
