Public transport officials are strongly pushing back against allegations that they were bought off by the state to suspend the nationwide strike.
While admitting that their key demands have yet to be met, the union leaders maintained that the suspension was a goodwill gesture to allow dialogue to continue, even as commuters protested high fares.
They have, however, issued an ultimatum to the government to fulfil its part of the agreement, warning that failure to do so will lead to a nationwide transport shutdown next Tuesday.
