Nigerian comedian and content creator Mr Jollof has openly declared support for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election, stating that the president should remain in office until 2031.
In a video seen by journalists, the entertainer affirmed that he and members of his community would fully back Tinubu’s re-election campaign.
He also expressed confidence that Tinubu’s tenure would extend beyond 2027, insisting the president would complete a second term.
According to him, part of the motivation for their support is the perceived cultural connection between Tinubu and his community through the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, whom he described as a chief and an integral member of the community.
“We’re supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 with our full chest. Tinubu is our in-law because his wife is a chief here and one of our own. Tinubu is leaving office in 2031,” he said.
The remarks add to early political endorsements emerging ahead of the 2027 election cycle, as public figures increasingly take positions on the contest for Nigeria’s highest office.
