Opposition women leaders demand Karen Nyamu’s resignation

A section of women leaders from the united opposition are now calling for the resignation of nominated senator Karen Nyamu’s over her remarks at the Senate which the leaders say were uncalled for and inappropriate towards a minor.

The leaders have called on the Ministry of Gender to adopt and implement the Law Society of Kenya Sexual Harassment and anti-bulling policy across all public institutions. According to the women leaders, the president is to be largely blamed for not taking action against the offenders even after signing the Kenya Kwanza Women charter during his 2022 campaigns.
