The Chairman of the Nigeria National League (NNL), George Aluo, has expressed immense satisfaction with the caliber and administration of the 2025-26 Super Four playoff. Staged at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, the event is being viewed as a transformative step forward for Nigeria’s second-tier football division. Aluo praised the seamless execution of the tournament, which culminated in Sporting Lagos emerging as the overall champions.
According to the chairman, the high-quality infrastructure and fair officiating were pivotal to the success of the competition. Speaking to reporters on the tournament’s overall impact, Aluo shared his enthusiasm for the progress made:
“The ambiance is excellent. This stadium is world-class outside of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, it’s the best in the country,” Aluo stated to the media. “The pitch is fantastic, and the teams are playing good, competitive football. The referees have done a great job, officiating in a relaxed but professional atmosphere. Everything has come together well, and I’m really impressed.”
