Afrobeats singer Adekunle Gold has dismissed online reports claiming that he and his wife, singer Simi, recently welcomed twins.
The artist addressed the speculation during a recent interview, clarifying that the viral claims circulating on social media are inaccurate.
According to him, the couple currently has one son, contrary to widespread rumours suggesting otherwise.
“My wife and I didn’t give birth to twins. It’s just internet rumours. We have a son,” he said.
Adekunle Gold also spoke briefly about his family life, highlighting the creative environment within their household. He noted that being married to another songwriter has influenced their home dynamic positively.
He further revealed that their child is already showing early signs of musical interest, suggesting a possible continuation of the family’s artistic path.
“It’s interesting to be married to another fantastic songwriter, and now our daughter is already giving signs that she might be one for music as well,” he added.
The clarification comes months after the couple shared a viral pregnancy announcement video, which led many fans to assume they had welcomed twins.
