Controversial media personality Blessing Nkiruka Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has publicly apologised following widespread backlash over claims about her health condition.
In a statement shared on Instagram, the influencer expressed regret to her family, supporters, and Nigerians, admitting that the situation caused unnecessary controversy and embarrassment.
“I am sorry… for the unnecessary drama, embarrassment and controversy surrounding my health issues,” she said, addressing the criticism that followed her initial disclosures.
The apology comes after intense scrutiny over claims she allegedly made about suffering from stage four cancer—an assertion she later described as a miscommunication.
Responding to public concerns, Blessing CEO insisted she did not fabricate her condition. She pledged to release medical records, including scan results and biopsy reports, to clarify her situation.
She also promised to keep followers informed about her health journey moving forward, similar to how she previously documented her cosmetic procedures.
“I will carry you all along… Please be patient with me,” she added.
Amid the controversy, the influencer revealed that she received N13 million in donations from supporters. She has now offered to refund anyone who contributed financially and wishes to retrieve their money.
According to her, donors can request reimbursement by sending proof of payment along with their account details via direct message or WhatsApp.
The development follows reactions from various groups and individuals who questioned the authenticity of her claims, further fueling the public debate.
Despite the criticism, Blessing CEO ended her message by thanking supporters for their concern and goodwill, expressing appreciation for the encouragement she received during the episode.
