SuperSport, a subsidiary of MultiChoice Group and part of CANAL+, has announced that, for the first time, all FIFA World Cup matches will be available in full to DStv subscribers across all packages – from DStv Access to DStv Premium.
The broadcaster said the coverage will include all 104 matches, along with highlights and repeats, making the 2026 FIFA World Cup the most accessible edition for MultiChoice customers.
The tournament, to be jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico and United States, will feature a record 48 teams. Africa will field its largest-ever contingent of 10 teams, including Algeria, Cape Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Ghana, Morocco, Senegal, South Africa and Tunisia.
The competition is scheduled to kick off in Mexico City on June 11, 2026, and conclude with the final in New Jersey on July 19, 2026.
In a statement, Supersport said to complement the live coverage, they will roll out a range of new magazine shows featuring fresh on-air talent, alongside expert analysis and masterclasses from football pundits across Africa and beyond.
Rendani Ramovha, CANAL+ Director for Content, Sports for English-and Portuguese-speaking Africa, said the broadcaster is preparing an enhanced viewing experience for subscribers.
He added that SuperSport plans to introduce tailored broadcast features that reflect diverse cultures and incorporate selected African languages.
