Actress Temi Otedola has shared insights into her marriage with singer Mr Eazi, revealing how disagreements between them are often handled.
Speaking on a recent episode of their joint podcast, Otedola said her husband tends to withdraw and communicate through messages instead of addressing issues directly. She described the approach as “a bit childish,” noting that she prefers face-to-face conversations.
She recounted a particular incident where she only realised her husband was upset after receiving a detailed message from him—despite both of them being in the same apartment at the time.
According to her, she had repeatedly asked if anything was wrong, but he denied being upset. The situation only became clear when she received a lengthy email outlining his concerns.
Otedola admitted that reading the message made her visibly angry, especially given that the issue had not been addressed in person.
While expressing her frustration, she acknowledged that her husband may simply be more comfortable communicating that way. However, she maintained that direct conversations would be more effective in resolving conflicts.
Responding during the podcast, Mr Eazi explained that he finds it easier to articulate his thoughts through writing rather than speaking, particularly during tense moments.
He said face-to-face discussions sometimes make it difficult for him to fully express himself or manage his tone, adding that writing allows him to carefully structure his thoughts and review his words before sharing them.
Although he acknowledged that messaging someone in the same space may not be ideal, the singer emphasised that people have different communication styles and should find what works best for them.
The couple’s exchange has sparked conversations online about communication preferences in relationships and how partners navigate conflict resolution.
