Nollywood star Toyin Abraham has denied allegations linking her to the alleged re-arrest of X influencer Big Ayo, insisting she had no involvement in the matter.
The actress addressed the claim on Tuesday after it began circulating online, describing it as false and misleading. She clarified that she was on a movie set at the time the report emerged.
“Please disregard the news. I didn’t get Ayo or anyone arrested; it’s all love from me,” Abraham said, urging the public to ignore the claim.
The rumour originated from a now-deleted post by an X user identified as Khan, who alleged that Big Ayo had been re-arrested at the actress’s instance.
Another user, Prince Adeshina, countered the claim, stating that Abraham was actively filming when the allegation surfaced and had no connection to any arrest. The actress later shared the clarification on her page.
The statement emphasised that Abraham was at a filming location and should not be linked to the reported incident, urging the public to treat the information as false.
The latest development revisits a previous dispute between Abraham and Big Ayo dating back to July 2024. At the time, the actress took legal action over alleged cyberbullying, following offensive remarks made about her and her family.
She had clarified then that Big Ayo—not a relative of another social media user—was arrested in connection with the incident.
The influencer had also accused Abraham of misusing politically linked funds, claims that further intensified the online clash.
Abraham defended her decision to involve law enforcement at the time, citing repeated online attacks and emotional distress.
The recent rumour has since reignited conversations around the earlier controversy, while also highlighting the spread of unverified information on social media platforms.
