Actress and evangelist Tonto Dikeh has announced the establishment of a new Christian fellowship, New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle (NWPT), in Abuja.
Dikeh unveiled the initiative in an Instagram post, describing NWPT as an interdenominational altar and spiritual community created for believers seeking deeper fellowship with God.
According to the actress, the fellowship is intended to provide a platform for prayer, revival, spiritual development and encounters with what she described as the “raw power, purity, and presence of God.”
NWPT draws its inspiration from Mark 2:22, a biblical passage about new wine and old wineskins.
The fellowship said its broader vision is to foster a global community of consecrated believers who live in the presence of God and contribute to the transformation of societies.
What NWPT stands for
The new fellowship’s mission centres on prayer, revival and apostolic training.
It also seeks to equip believers, develop spiritual gifts and encourage soul-winning and other forms of Christian service.
NWPT has adopted the acronym FIRE as its core values.
The letters represent Flame of Intercession, Intimacy and Consecration, Revival and Soul Winning, and Empowerment through Deliverance and Healing.
The organisation has also clarified that it does not describe itself as a conventional church.
Instead, NWPT presents itself as an “intense gathering” of believers united around what it describes as the purposes of God.
Weekly fellowship begins in Abuja
The fellowship is scheduled to hold every Friday at 6 p.m. in Jabi, Abuja.
Dikeh’s announcement marks another public expression of her Christian faith, which she has increasingly spoken about alongside her career in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
The actress is known for her roles in Nollywood and has also been involved in public service and advocacy.
With NWPT, she is now taking her faith-based activities into a structured fellowship centred on prayer, revival and spiritual growth.
