Music star Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, and his estranged wife, Annie Macaulay Idibia, have renewed their connection on Instagram, more than a year after announcing their separation.
The former couple are now following each other again on the social media platform, a development that has drawn attention from fans and social media users.
The renewed connection comes after a period in which both parties had stopped following each other following the breakdown of their marriage.
2Baba publicly announced their separation in January 2025, revealing that he and Annie had been apart for some time and had begun divorce proceedings.
The announcement initially generated confusion after a separate social media post suggested that his Instagram account had been compromised. The singer subsequently confirmed that the separation announcement was genuine.
Following the split, 2Baba and Annie no longer appeared among each other’s Instagram followers, further fuelling public interest in the state of their relationship.
Their decision to follow each other again has now triggered fresh conversations online, with fans questioning what may have prompted the change.
However, neither 2Baba nor Annie has publicly explained the reason for the renewed Instagram connection.
The former couple, who share daughters, got married in 2012 after years of being in a relationship.
Their marriage and subsequent separation have remained a subject of public interest, particularly because of the couple’s long history in the spotlight.
2Baba has since remarried, tying the knot with Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru.
For now, the Instagram development remains the latest public sign of a changed dynamic between the former couple, with no official statement from either side indicating what the renewed connection means for their relationship.
