Nollywood actress and filmmaker Fathia Williams has paid tribute to her late mother six months after her death, saying the memories they shared remain vivid.
Williams marked the milestone by visiting her mother’s graveside alongside family members to honour her memory and reflect on her life.
Sharing a video from the visit on Instagram, the actress described the past six months without her mother as difficult, noting that the memories of her remain fresh.
She said the family’s visit was also a reminder that her mother would continue to be remembered despite her absence.
“Six months without you, Momi, and the memories still feel so fresh. We came to visit you, to remember you, and to remind ourselves that even though you’re gone, you will never be forgotten,” she wrote.
Williams said the loss continues to affect the entire family, including her children and grandchildren, who she said deeply miss their grandmother.
“Your children miss you. Your grandchildren miss you. We all miss you dearly,” she added.
The actress also reaffirmed her love for her mother, saying her memory would remain part of the family’s lives.
“Momi, you may be gone, but you remain forever in our hearts. We love you, we remember you, and we will always carry your memory with us,” she said.
Williams ended the tribute with a farewell to her mother, wishing her eternal rest and expressing hope that they would meet again.
The actress had previously mourned her mother publicly and was seen grieving during her burial ceremony in Lagos.
