The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has intensified its grassroots mobilisation in Imo State with the inauguration of 13-member booth executive teams across the 23 polling units in Ezeama/Okpala Ward 4, Ngor Okpala Local Government Area.
The exercise was led by the Ngor Okpala Local Government Area chairman of the party, Sir Emeka Amajirionwu, and attracted party leaders, members and supporters from across the ward.
Speaking at the inauguration, Amajirionwu expressed satisfaction with the turnout and the level of organisation achieved at the ward level.
He commended the ward leadership and other stakeholders for their efforts to build the party’s grassroots structures and charged the newly inaugurated executives to intensify voter engagement and mobilisation within their communities.
Amajirionwu described an effective grassroots network as essential to the growth and electoral prospects of any political party.
He also acknowledged the contributions of the ward chairman and other party leaders towards expanding the ADC’s presence across the local government area.
A party chieftain, John Eke, urged the new booth executives to take responsibility for their respective polling units and work towards identifying at least 10 committed voters who would actively participate in the electoral process.
The party’s State Deputy Woman Leader, Lady Leticia Okere, highlighted the participation of women in the new booth structures and encouraged them to use their networks and organisational abilities to mobilise support for the ADC.
Also speaking, the Apex Leader of Ezeama/Okpala Ward 4, Dr Chigozie Okereke, thanked the party leadership and the inauguration team for visiting the ward.
Okereke urged members to remain committed to the party, citing the economic difficulties and hardship facing residents.
He encouraged party supporters to take the ADC’s message into their communities and broaden awareness of the party’s programmes and objectives.
The inauguration forms part of the ADC’s wider efforts to establish stronger polling-unit structures, increase its grassroots presence and build voter mobilisation networks across Ngor Okpala ahead of the 2027 general elections.
