El-Kanemi Warriors technical adviser Emmanuel King has expressed optimism about the club’s prospects in the CAF Confederation Cup and their push for promotion back to the Nigeria Premier Football League.
The Borno-based side will begin their continental campaign against Guinea-Bissau’s União Desportiva Internacional (UDIB) in the first preliminary round.
A successful outcome over UDIB would set up a second-round encounter with Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca.
King believes the team can make a strong impact in the competition through commitment, hard work and the backing of their supporters.
“We will go far in the CAF Confederation Cup, and with hard work, dedication, and the support of our fans,” King told the club’s media.
The coach also expressed confidence that El-Kanemi Warriors will return to the NPFL next season.
“Nothing will stop us from securing promotion back to the Nigeria Premier Football League next season,” he added.
