Nigerian comedian and skit maker Zic Saloma has revealed that his recent nose surgery was a personal decision driven by years of insecurity about his appearance.
In a candid video shared on his Instagram page, the content creator said he decided to undergo the procedure after losing several opportunities in the entertainment industry because of how he looked.
“I decided to undergo nose surgery because I wasn’t comfortable with my appearance. I had lost several job opportunities in the past because of how I looked. If you can afford cosmetic surgery, do it. If it will make you feel better, go for it,” he said.
The comedian disclosed that he had rhinoplasty in Turkey, where the procedure lasted more than four hours and also included a facelift and eye rejuvenation. He explained that the total cost was about $11,000, though he didn’t pay for the surgery as it was part of a collaboration with the hospital.
Zic Saloma, known for his comic skits and ability to play multiple characters, said the transformation has boosted his confidence and made him feel more at ease with his appearance.
He also encouraged others to make personal choices that enhance their self-esteem, emphasizing that there is nothing wrong with taking steps to feel better about oneself, as long as it’s done safely and responsibly.
