Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is meeting King Charles in Windsor, marking the third time they have met this year.
Following the meeting, Zelensky will travel to London to join UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer at 10 Downing Street for a gathering of European leaders known as the “coalition of the willing.”
The discussions are expected to focus on increasing military support for Ukraine, particularly in the provision of long-range missiles. Starmer is reportedly set to urge European allies to boost their assistance, following a recent Ukrainian strike on a Russian chemical plant using British-supplied Storm Shadow missiles.
The talks come as US President Donald Trump imposed fresh sanctions on two of Russia’s largest oil companies, in a renewed bid to pressure Moscow into negotiations.
Trump, who has refused to supply Ukraine with long-range Tomahawk missiles, also cancelled a planned meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. “Every time I speak to Vladimir, I have good conversations and then they don’t go anywhere,” Trump said.
