Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has alleged that he is in possession of a video purportedly showing how late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, was killed.
In a video shared on social media, Fabiyi appealed directly to President Bola Tinubu, urging him to ensure transparency and justice in the ongoing investigation into the late artiste’s death.
Actor Alleges Extortion Attempt
Fabiyi claimed the footage was sent to him as part of an alleged extortion attempt. He noted that he had informed President Tinubu as far back as May 2025, writing in a letter that Mohbad was “murdered.”
He also asserted that the case file was reviewed by the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Abuja, where, according to him, investigators identified major suspects.
“They want to cover it up,” Fabiyi says
The actor expressed concerns that the case was being suppressed, alleging that individuals linked to the investigation were attempting to silence him.
“They are even asking the same suspects to write a petition against me over illegal arrests,” he claimed. “This suspect wants to silence me because they want to use the video against you.”
Ongoing Public Pressure for Clarity
Mohbad’s death in 2023 prompted widespread public outrage, calls for justice, and multiple investigations. Fabiyi’s latest claims are likely to intensify public demand for updates from authorities, though his allegations have not been independently verified.
The police have not issued a statement in response to his latest assertions at the time of this report.
