Nigerian media personality and socialite Idowu Adeyemi, popularly known as Yhemolee, has criticised men who wear tight or revealing outfits to the gym, describing such dressing as inappropriate.
In a video shared online, Yhemolee said the conversation around “indecent dressing” should not be limited to women alone. He stressed that men, too, should maintain modesty when working out.
“I’m not against going to the gym,” he said, “but we need to start dressing appropriately. If you’re not a prostitute, why would a man wear tight shorts to the gym? I understand why women do it, for support and comfort when working out, but men? Why should your whole outline be showing?”
The entertainer’s comments have sparked debate across social media, with many agreeing that gym etiquette should include appropriate clothing standards for both genders. Others, however, argued that fitness attire is a matter of personal comfort and body confidence.
Yhemolee, known for his outspoken takes on social issues, recently made headlines for criticising online behaviour and relationship double standards in previous viral clips.
