The inaugural AI Global Summit kicked off on November 18–19, 2025, in Dubai, bringing together leaders from over 170 countries to advance equitable and responsible AI education worldwide.
Co-hosted by DP World, a member of the MIT Media Lab consortium, the invitation-only event united educators, policymakers, and technologists to explore strategies for introducing artificial intelligence into classrooms across the globe.
The summit featured separate tracks for government ministers and education leaders, covering topics such as AI policy design, curriculum implementation, and regional impact planning.
Participants heard directly from leaders in Rwanda, the UAE, Colombia, and other nations, highlighting both real-world successes and the challenges of scaling AI education in diverse contexts. A central theme was that every student, regardless of geography or background, should have the opportunity to thrive in an AI-powered world.
Supported by a multi-million-dollar investment from DP World, the initiative aims to reach 250,000 teachers and six million students globally.
The summit concluded with a student showcase and a call to action for continued collaboration to expand equitable access to AI education worldwide.
