Comedian and actor Woli Arole has weighed in on the recent controversy surrounding TikToker Peller following his unsuccessful attempts to meet American streamer IShowSpeed during the latter’s visit to Lagos.
In a post shared on Instagram, Arole praised Peller’s boldness and persistence, while also offering candid advice on how the influencer can better navigate fame and public attention. He urged critics to show restraint, noting that many of those mocking Peller do not possess his level of reach or influence.
Arole acknowledged that while the situation appeared embarrassing to some observers, Peller’s willingness to try again demonstrated courage. He stressed that public figures, especially young influencers, should be guided with wisdom rather than ridicule.
Addressing Peller directly, Arole advised him to secure professional management, pursue education to strengthen his brand, and surround himself with experienced and mature advisers. He also cautioned the TikToker to be mindful of his words, warning that pride and careless speech can have lasting consequences.
As part of his message, Arole reposted an older video in which Peller had previously said he would ignore IShowSpeed if the streamer visited Nigeria. He referenced the clip as a reminder of the importance of humility and consistency in both words and actions.
Peller’s efforts to meet IShowSpeed attracted widespread attention on social media, with videos showing him running alongside the streamer’s convoy, attempting to climb a vehicle, and riding a horse through traffic in a bid to get noticed.
The incident sparked mixed reactions online, with some users criticising the TikToker’s approach, while others defended his determination. Popular socialite Cubana Chief Priest also came to Peller’s defence, stating that there is no shame in making bold attempts to achieve one’s goals.
Despite the backlash, Arole encouraged Peller not to give up, reminding him that life extends beyond fame and that long-term success requires discipline, humility, and structure.
