Popular comedian and actor Woli Arole has explained his decision to keep his family life largely private, stating that his marriage is not meant for public display or social media validation.
In a post shared on Instagram, Arole said he values companionship and emotional connection over frequent online updates about his personal life. He noted that marriage goes beyond appearances on social media and should not be reduced to content for public consumption.
The comedian cautioned against oversharing, stressing that not every aspect of one’s life needs to be exposed online. According to him, genuine relationships thrive on connection and understanding, not constant digital approval.
“Arole, you rarely post about your family, why?” he wrote. “My response: I didn’t marry for posting, I married for companionship! Not everything about your life should be public! What if there was no social media, won’t you live?”
He encouraged followers to focus on building meaningful relationships rather than seeking validation online, adding that privacy remains an important part of personal fulfilment.
