The son of global Afrobeats superstar Wizkid, Tife Balogun, has officially kicked off his music career with the release of his debut extended play (EP) titled “Champion’s Arrival.”
The five-track project, now streaming across all major digital platforms, introduces the 14-year-old, who performs under the stage name Champz, as one of Nigeria’s most promising young talents.
Tife had previously built anticipation for his debut with a short teaser of his first single on social media. The clip showcased his confident delivery, sharp lyrics, and maturity beyond his age, earning praise from fans and music critics alike.
One of the standout lines from the teaser, “Shout-out to the OGs in the game, but it’s time to pass on the baton,” quickly sparked conversation online for its bold, self-assured message.
With “Champion’s Arrival,” Champz makes a strong statement of intent, signaling his readiness to carve out his own identity while carrying forward the Balogun musical legacy.
Industry watchers say the EP could mark the beginning of a new generation of Afrobeats talent emerging from music royalty.
