Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Wizkid has expressed his desire for fellow artist Asake to perform at his wedding, highlighting the singer’s talent and influence in African music.
Speaking alongside DJ Tunez on Apple Music radio, Wizkid revealed that Asake’s track “Omo Ope” initially made him a fan, but “Remember” remains his favourite song, which he wants performed at his special day.
“You are amazing, you have one of the most special voices from Africa and in the world. I have told you that a million times, and I’m saying it again on radio. You are a blessing to African music,” Wizkid said, praising the ‘Lonely At The Top’ crooner.
Wizkid is currently in a relationship with his manager and third baby mama, Japa P, with whom he shares three children, two boys and a girl. Fans have eagerly anticipated the singer’s wedding, as he has been teasing the event for years.
The revelation underscores Wizkid’s admiration for emerging African talent and his commitment to celebrating homegrown artists at personal milestones.
