Afrobeats superstars Wizkid, Burna Boy and Asake have been confirmed as headline acts for the 2026 edition of Afro Nation in Portugal.
Festival organisers announced the lineup in a post on X, unveiling a mix of top Afrobeats, R&B, dancehall and amapiano artistes set to perform at the globally acclaimed event.
According to the organisers, the 2026 lineup reflects a blend of established icons and fresh debuts, describing it as “the sound of a summer taking shape.”
The three-day festival will run from July 3 to July 5, 2026, at Praia da Rocha Beach in Portimão, Portugal. Burna Boy is scheduled to kick off the festival on July 3, sharing the stage with South African sensation Tyla. Asake will headline the second day on July 4, while Wizkid will close the event on July 5.
American R&B star Kehlani and rapper Gunna are also billed as special guest performers, adding to the international appeal of the festival.
Several Nigerian artistes are featured on the wider lineup, including Olamide, Young Jonn, Darkoo, Wande Coal and Mavo, highlighting Nigeria’s strong presence at the event.
Organisers announced that early access tickets will go on sale on February 5 at 10:00 a.m. GMT.
Afro Nation is one of the world’s biggest celebrations of African music and culture, drawing thousands of fans from across the globe each year. The 2026 edition is expected to build on the success of previous years, following a 2025 festival that featured major acts such as Burna Boy, Davido, Tems and Qing Madi.
