Grammy-winning singer Wizkid has expressed immense pride in his 14-year-old son, Boluwatife, whose debut EP, Champion Arrival, soared to No. 1 on Apple Music Nigeria’s Top Albums just hours after its release.
Supported by his mother, Sola Ogudu, and his manager, Boluwatife shared exclusive studio footage ahead of the project’s launch on November 11, which is now available across all major streaming platforms.
The five-track EP has not only dominated Nigeria’s charts but also entered charts in 16 countries, reaching No. 71 on the UK Apple Music Top Albums, making Boluwatife the youngest African artist to top Nigeria’s Apple Music Albums chart.
Speaking courtside at a New York Knicks game, Wizkid couldn’t hide his excitement:
“We love it, man. He’s my kid, you know,” he said, visibly proud of his son’s accomplishment.
The rising artist’s breakthrough has already generated significant buzz across social media, with fans and industry watchers hailing him as one of Africa’s promising young talents in music.
With the success of Champion Arrival, Boluwatife has firmly established himself as a young force in Afrobeats, signaling a bright future ahead.
