Afrobeats heavyweights Wizkid and Asake have officially released their much-anticipated joint extended play, Real Vol. 1, marking a major moment in Nigerian music this year.
The EP contains four tracks, Turbulence, Jogodo, Iskolodo, and Alaye, and arrives on the back of strong momentum generated by its lead single, Jogodo. The track, released on January 16, recorded impressive streaming numbers across digital platforms, fuelling anticipation for the full project.
The duo announced the release on Instagram, sharing a promotional video accompanied by the caption, “Real EP Vol. 1 ti jade bayi,” signalling the project’s arrival to fans.
Real Vol. 1 adds another chapter to Wizkid and Asake’s growing musical partnership. The two artists have previously collaborated on popular records including MMS and Bad Girl, tracks that further cemented their on-screen chemistry and appeal to global audiences.
Both musicians have also enjoyed notable individual success in 2025. Wizkid’s Morayo has emerged as the most streamed album on Apple Music Nigeria this year, while Asake’s Why Love has topped charts as the platform’s most streamed song.
With the release of Real Vol. 1, Wizkid and Asake continue to strengthen their influence within the Afrobeats scene, offering fans a collaborative project that reflects their evolving sound and sustained chart dominance.
