The late Raila Odinga’s daughter, Winnie Odinga, has openly challenged Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader and her uncle, Oburu Oginga, along with other senior figures over the party’s direction ahead of the 2027 general election.
Speaking while leading a rival ODM meeting in Kibra, the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) member accused top party officials of exploiting the late Odinga’s name for personal gain instead of upholding the party’s founding ideals.
Her remarks have laid bare deepening divisions within the Orange Party, as parallel meetings continue to be organised across the country.
