Nigeria Premier Football League side Wikki Tourists have thrown their support behind defender Haruna Aliyu following his late call-up to the Flying Eagles squad for the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile.
Aliyu was drafted in as a replacement for Marvelous Freedom, who was ruled out of the tournament after sustaining a knee injury in training earlier this week.
“We are confident that Haruna will represent the nation with distinction and make Wikki Tourists, Bauchi State, and the entire country proud,” the Bauchi Elephants said in a statement.
The Flying Eagles will open their Group F campaign against Norway next Monday, with Colombia and Saudi Arabia completing the group.
