Warri Wolves interim head coach, Johnny Austin, has issued a motivational call to his squad ahead of their Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday 13 clash against Rivers United.
The Seasiders are coming off a 1-0 loss to Ikorodu City in Ozoro, and Austin is determined to see his players respond positively in Port Harcourt. Warri Wolves will aim to return to winning ways when they face Rivers United at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium.
“God’s willing on Sunday, we should be knocking horns with our neighbours, and I implore you to give your best so that we can rewrite the script,” Austin told his players. “Let’s offset our loss by fighting gallantly for a win in Rivers. I know you fully well—I am your coach, and I know what you are capable of. Go in there and give me a win.”
Warri Wolves currently sit on 18 points from 12 NPFL matches this season, and a victory against Rivers United will be key to boosting their standing in the league table.
