Kiambu Governor Kimani Wamatangi on Tuesday claimed his life was in danger after a bullet was fired near his residence in Kibiku Village, Kabete.
The early-morning incident sparked panic when the projectile pierced a neighbour’s roof and landed in a children’s bedroom.
The gunshot, discharged just outside the governor’s compound, has raised fears of a targeted attack, with Wamatangi reportedly returning from his farm only minutes before the bullet struck.
