‘Nigeria House’ debuts as hub for investment, innovation, and global partnerships
Vice-President Kashim Shettima is set to present Nigeria’s economic outlook for 2026 at the 56th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland. His visit underscores Nigeria’s commitment to global economic engagement and investor partnerships.
According to Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications to the Vice-President, Shettima arrived in Davos to lead the Nigerian delegation. He was welcomed by Foreign Affairs Minister Amb. Yussuf Tuggar, Trade and Investment Minister Jumoke Oduwole, and officials from the Nigerian mission.
Throughout the forum, the Vice-President will participate in plenary sessions on artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and biotechnology, as well as hold bilateral meetings with heads of state, top executives, and leaders of international development finance institutions. These engagements aim to strengthen partnerships aligned with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Nigeria House Debuts at Davos
WEF 2026 marks a milestone for Nigeria with the official debut of ‘Nigeria House Davos’, a sovereign pavilion on the Davos Promenade. Developed through a public-private partnership, the facility will host ministerial engagements, investment roundtables, and cultural diplomacy throughout the week.
At the inauguration, Minister Oduwole said Nigeria will showcase investment opportunities across four key sectors: solid minerals, climate-smart agriculture, the creative industry, and the digital economy. She highlighted that the government will present playbooks detailing President Tinubu’s strategies to re-engineer the Nigerian economy.
Nigeria House aims to serve as a focal point for attracting international investment, highlighting the country’s reform efforts, and promoting collaboration in strategic sectors.
