United Nigeria Airlines has confirmed that a physical altercation occurred between two passengers during the boarding of Flight UN0523 at Asaba International Airport on the morning of 17 November 2025.
The individuals involved were identified as social media personalities Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, and Freedom Okpetoritse Atsepoyi, widely referred to as Mr. Jollof.
In a statement issued by the airline’s Public Relations Officer, Chibuike Uloka, United Nigeria Airlines said its cabin crew and ground personnel responded “immediately and professionally” to contain the situation. Uloka noted that staff members followed global aviation safety protocols by swiftly intervening to prevent the altercation from escalating further.
Both passengers were subsequently removed from the aircraft to ensure the safety and comfort of other travellers and crew members. The airline emphasised that it prioritises strict adherence to safety procedures and will not tolerate any conduct that could jeopardise flight operations.
