The Governor of Imo State and Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has been appointed Chairman of the Central Coordination Committee for the 2026 National Convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Governor Uzodimma will lead the 73-member committee, which was constituted by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC as part of preparations for the party’s next national convention.
According to the party, the Governor of Kwara State and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has been appointed Vice Chairman of the committee.
“The Governor of Imo State and Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has been appointed Chairman of the 73-member Central Coordination Committee for the 2026 National Convention of the All Progressives Congress,” the party stated.
It added that the Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, will serve as Secretary of the committee.
“The Governor of Kwara State and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, His Excellency, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, will serve as Vice Chairman, while the Governor of Yobe State, His Excellency, Mai Mala Buni, has been named Secretary of the Committee,” the statement said.
The APC said the constitution of the committee marks a key step in its early preparations for the 2026 National Convention.
“The Central Coordination Committee was constituted by the National Working Committee of the APC as part of preparations for the party’s 2026 National Convention,” it added.
