Beninese outfit USCN Cavaliers has officially dismissed Nigerian tactician Usman Abdallah following a disappointing six-month tenure. The club appointed the 45-year-old as head coach in August 2025, but a poor run of results left the team languishing in 16th place on the Championnat National standings.
Despite his pedigree as a championship-winning manager, Abdallah failed to replicate his previous successes during his brief stay in the Benin Republic top flight.
Abdallah possesses a distinguished coaching resume in West Africa, most notably leading Enyimba International to the Nigeria Premier Football League title during the 2018/2019 season. He also achieved continental recognition by guiding the People’s Elephant into the CAF Champions League group stages in 2019. USCN Cavaliers now seeks a new technical lead to steer the squad away from the lower reaches of the league table as the domestic season progresses.
