Reality TV star Uriel Oputa has opened up about her evolving perspective on marriage, revealing that her recent experiences have made her more cautious about committing.
In an Instagram post, Oputa reflected on how her attitude toward marriage has changed over the years. She admitted that five years ago, she would have readily said “yes” to settling down, but encounters with men exhibiting traits she described as “inconsistent, egotistical, narcissistic, and manipulative” have made her rethink her stance.
“If you had asked me 5 years ago, even 3 or 4 years ago, ‘Do you want to get married?’ I’d have said absolutely, 100% yes. Ask me now? I’d have to think twice,” she wrote.
The reality star also humorously acknowledged the potential stress marriage could bring, noting she has no desire to spend her life on high blood pressure medication.
“And honestly, I’m not sure I want to spend the rest of my life on high blood pressure medication,” she added.
Despite her reservations, Oputa remains optimistic about the future. She concluded her post with a note of faith, saying:
“But hey, in God we trust. Mine will be different.”
Her candid reflections have sparked conversations among fans about the challenges of modern relationships and the importance of self-awareness before marriage.
