The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, has called on Corps Members to imbibe the core values of the scheme throughout their service year and beyond.
According to a post shared on NYSC’s X handle on Tuesday, Nafiu made the call while addressing the 2025 Batch ‘C’ Corps Members undergoing the Orientation Course in Rivers State.
He urged the Corps members to be patriotic and to let integrity, efficiency, transparency, and commitment guide their actions.
Commending the Corps Members for responding to the call to serve their fatherland, Nafiu encouraged them to make positive contributions to national development during and after their service year.
Earlier, the NYSC Rivers State Coordinator, Moses Oleghe, presented the camp situation report, highlighting that the 2,586 Corps Members undergoing the Orientation Course had displayed high levels of discipline, patriotism, and commitment.
The NYSC DG’s address underscores the scheme’s ongoing efforts to instill good virtues and a sense of national duty in Nigerian youth as they prepare to contribute meaningfully to society.
