Nollywood actress Uche Montana has refuted claims suggesting she was involved in the ongoing controversy surrounding Regina Daniels and her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
Montana issued a statement via her Instagram page on Monday, reacting to reports that linked her name to the alleged drug-related crisis involving the couple.
Her response came days after Nwoko, in a Facebook post, accused some of Regina’s close friends and relatives, including actresses Sonia Uche and Uche Montana, of allegedly undermining his wife’s rehabilitation process.
The senator claimed that those named had disregarded doctors’ advice to limit contact with Regina and even supplied her with the same substances she was reportedly being treated for.
Addressing the allegations, Montana described the claims as entirely baseless and emphasized her need to protect her peace.
“My attention has been drawn to a circulating post that appears to link my name to certain claims. For clarity, I have no involvement or connection to the situation described. This note is simply to set the record straight and protect my peace,” she wrote.
Her clarification comes amid escalating tension between Nwoko and his wife, Regina Daniels, whose marriage has recently been under intense public scrutiny.
Two weeks ago, a viral video showed Regina Daniels accusing her husband of domestic abuse, describing herself as a “slave” in his home.
Nwoko has since denied the allegations, insisting that his wife is battling drug and alcohol addiction and alleging that she had physically assaulted some domestic staff.
The unfolding situation continues to draw widespread attention across social media, as fans and industry colleagues call for privacy and professional intervention.
