Tyson Fury has set his sights on a trilogy showdown with Oleksandr Usyk rather than a long-awaited all-British clash with Anthony Joshua, according to his promoter, Frank Warren.
Warren revealed that the former WBC heavyweight champion is planning a return to the ring next year and remains determined to avenge his two defeats to the Ukrainian.
“The fight he really wants is another go with Mr Usyk; he really wants that,” Warren said. “And they were great fights — really close fights to watch. I’d watch that again. That’s the fight he wants. That’s the one he talks about all the time.”
Fury, who announced his fifth retirement in January, suffered the only two losses of his professional career to Usyk in 2024 — both by decision. He came close to being stopped in their first encounter before narrowly losing again in the rematch.
Warren dismissed claims that the 36-year-old is past his prime, insisting Fury still has the hunger and power to compete at the highest level.
