Two teenagers were killed and 13 others critically injured in a road accident at Kacherede along the Malera–Bukedea–Kumi road on Sunday.
The deceased, James Ilaborot, 16, and Enock, 12, both residents of Malera sub-county, died on the spot. The group was travelling to Ngora district for a burial, according to Joseph Amailem, the LC III chairperson of Malera sub-county.
The injured victims are receiving treatment at Kumi and Atutur hospitals. The vehicle involved, a Canter truck, registration number UBF 858P has been impounded at Kumi Police station as investigations continue.
