Popular Nigerian influencer Tunde Ednut has criticised activist Omoyele Sowore following his recent comments on the performance of Abia State Governor Alex Otti.
Sowore had sparked reactions online after describing Otti’s efforts in Aba as a “half-transformation” during a viral video shared after his visit to the state. He acknowledged some improvements but insisted that the changes were incomplete and fell short of meaningful transformation.
“I just came back from Aba… some transformed, partly not transformed. I don’t believe in half transformation,” Sowore said, dismissing claims by some Labour Party supporters that the governor had fully transformed the commercial hub.
Responding via Instagram, Ednut questioned Sowore’s position, suggesting that the activist often takes a critical stance without acknowledging progress.
“Me I no come understand Sowore again. Nobody good for him eye? Okay, who come good for Nigeria like this?” he wrote.
Ednut also hinted that Sowore’s views may be influenced by bias, though he did not provide further details.
The exchange has since generated discussions on social media, with users divided over Sowore’s assessment of developments in Aba and Ednut’s reaction.
Governor Otti has been credited by supporters with initiating infrastructural and economic reforms in parts of Aba, though critics argue that more work remains to be done.
