South African Premier Division club TS Galaxy have officially unveiled Super Eagles goalkeeper Kayode Bankole following his move from Remo Stars.
Bankole joined the Rockets on a free transfer, signing a two-year contract after parting ways with the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions in the summer upon the expiration of his deal.
The 21-year-old shot-stopper, who spent five years with Remo Stars, becomes the second Nigerian goalkeeper currently playing in the South African top flight — following in the footsteps of Stanley Nwabali.
Founded in 2015, TS Galaxy play their home matches at the Mbombela Stadium, and Bankole’s arrival is seen as part of the club’s plan to strengthen their squad for the new campaign.
