US President Donald Trump will visit South Korea from October 29 to 30, South Korea’s National Security Adviser announced on Thursday.
The visit comes just days before Seoul hosts the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, which begins on October 31 and will bring together leaders from across the region to discuss trade, economic growth, and regional cooperation.
The White House has not yet released details of the president’s itinerary, but diplomatic sources say the visit underscores Washington’s commitment to strengthening alliances in the Indo-Pacific region ahead of the multilateral summit.
