Toyin Abraham has reached a new milestone in her filmmaking career as Oversabi Aunty has surpassed ₦863 million at the box office, emerging as the highest-grossing title ever produced under Toyin Abraham Productions.
The achievement was announced by film distributor FilmOne, which celebrated the film’s performance in a post shared on Instagram. According to the distributor, Oversabi Aunty has continued its strong run in cinemas, placing it among the top two highest-grossing films released in 2025.
Released nationwide on December 19, the film marked Abraham’s directorial debut. It tells the story of a well-meaning but overly involved aunty whose constant interference in other people’s affairs triggers a chain of humorous misunderstandings before leading to touching life lessons.
Ahead of its official release, Oversabi Aunty enjoyed an advanced screening on December 18, which generated significant buzz and helped build momentum for its cinema run across the country.
The comedy features a star-studded cast that includes Mike Ezuruonye, Efe Irele, and Enioluwa Adeoluwa, among others. Its strong ensemble performances and relatable storyline have contributed to its widespread appeal with audiences.
