Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has reached a major career milestone as her movie, Oversabi Aunty, has grossed over ₦1 billion at the Nigerian box office.
The achievement places the film among the elite titles in Nollywood history, making it the fourth highest-grossing Nigerian movie of all time. It also marks the first time Abraham has recorded a ₦1 billion cinema run in her career.
Released in December 2025, Oversabi Aunty has further distinguished itself by becoming the first directorial debut in Nollywood to cross the ₦1 billion mark, setting a new industry record.
Film distributor FilmOne described the feat as a landmark moment, applauding the film’s strong commercial performance and its impact on the local film industry.
Reacting to the success, Abraham expressed heartfelt gratitude to her fans, cast, and production team. She also thanked Nigerians and FilmOne for their support throughout the film’s journey.
