Nollywood star Toyin Abraham has released the official trailer for her upcoming film Oversabi Aunty, a comedy-drama that blends family tensions, humour, and relatable life lessons. The movie is set to open in cinemas nationwide on December 19.
Sharing the trailer on social media, Abraham described the lead character as someone who always has an answer for every situation, often with chaotic, hilarious consequences. She promised audiences a mix of big comedy moments, heartfelt scenes, and messages that reflect everyday family life.
The project draws inspiration from a viral clip recorded at Priscilla Ojo’s wedding, where Abraham’s playful, exaggerated performance earned her the nickname “Oversabi Aunty.” The film expands on that moment, turning the character into a full-length story.
Oversabi Aunty features a strong cast including Tana Adelana, Mike Ezuruonye, and several other familiar Nollywood faces. The movie’s premiere will take place on December 14, days before its nationwide rollout.
Directed by Toyin Abraham and distributed by FilmOne Entertainment, the film is positioned as one of the festive season’s key theatrical releases.
