Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has pushed back against social media users who criticized her after photos of her with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu circulated online.
The actress, in a series of posts on X, warned that individuals who attempted to shame or discredit her without justification would be exposed. She claimed to possess screenshots, chat records, and video confessions allegedly linked to coordinated efforts to attack her online.
Abraham maintained that she remains unbothered by the criticism, stating that her conscience is clear. According to her, anyone who tried to disgrace her would eventually face public embarrassment.
She added that while she has chosen to forgive those involved, the truth surrounding the incident would ultimately come to light.
The actress made the remarks while responding to a social media user, identified as @mariolexxx, who suggested that negative comments directed at her were organised following the release of her photos with the president.
The user alleged that after the images surfaced, members of an online group were encouraged to flood Abraham’s comment sections with repeated questions referencing her meeting with Tinubu.
Reacting to the claim, Abraham said similar actions had occurred in the past, insisting that people who accepted money or instructions to attack her would be publicly identified.
She reiterated that she had gathered extensive digital evidence, including Telegram and WhatsApp messages, as well as videos of individuals admitting to their involvement.
The controversy adds to ongoing conversations around celebrity political associations and the increasing use of coordinated online campaigns in Nigeria’s digital space.
